testimonials
"Our children's self confidence, self esteem and countless positive things have improved (their lives). They have learned to laugh (and to) cry! Who would think a horse would give them wings to fly?"........... S.B. (Parent)

"As a parent of children who have suffered the unthinkable, I am so thankful for the Children, Hope & Horses program. We need all the tools available to help these children become whole again. With the program, we are able to (build) self-confidence, (the) unconditional acceptance that the horses offer and patient interactions with adults in a safe setting."......V.W. (Parent)

A Firm Foundation
Children, Hope & Horses is led by a dedicated volunteer board of directors whose members offer broad and varied educational and professional backgrounds. This nucleus is augmented by an equally dedicated and talented cadre of volunteers, who perform over 3,800 hours of service each year in all phases of the CH&H operation.

Our barn facility is staffed by an equine professional, a contract licensed therapist plus a staff of six professionally screened volunteers who work with the children and the program horses. CH&H's Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) staff is certified by EGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) to conduct EAP sessions for the children and their families.

The CH&H facility is located west of Delray Beach in the Sunshine Meadows Equestrian Village. In 2004, the South Florida Water Management District provided us with an eight year, no-fee occupancy of the facility, which consists of 10 stalls, five paddocks, a tack/feed room and an office.
